Attic Nook

by D. D. Falvo on April 5, 2012 | @ddfalvo

This is where I write– in the attic nook of my 100+ year-old house. There’s just enough room for a whole world full of fantastical creatures, landscapes with attitude, grumbly mages, and children who are really earthbound stars. Every now and then a dragon gets out, but I’ve learned (the hard way) to keep the fire extinguisher close and to practice some patience–those pesky beasts always come back because everyone knows the cat treats in my kitchen are never as good as the wobble fish in Ir. You can visit them all in my fantasy series called StarDust.

Where imagination defies reality.

I love your writing space. It’s like a cozy little fort, but so incredibly clean and organized. I shudder at the thought of posting my paper-strewn dining room table! I can’t wait to read what has been created there.

lol. You caught me, Nicole! This pic is definitely a “before.” In truth, my space usually looks more like your dining room table. There are always at least 3 legal pads, a spiral or two and little torn pieces I keep telling myself I’ll rewrite neatly into a moleskin. Then, I swear, something steals in, in the middle of the night, and throws it all around just to keep me on my toes. Thanks for your kind words.
